Leiden is the city to feel, to live and to explore. With its central location (30min from Amsterdam by train, 30 min from the beach by bike) and relatively small inner city centre there is always some adventure close by. For students it is even better; Leiden is the student city of The Netherlands. Besides the fact that over 15% of Leiden's 118,000 inhabitants are students, hundreds of international students flock to Leiden University every year. This makes this relatively small but vibrant city the ideal place to make a host of new friends and enjoy the excellent student life.
