Travel

Public transport in Hong Kong is extensive, efficient, and economical but traffic can be very congested during peak periods. The major modes of transport include large double-decker buses, minibuses, trains, taxis ferries and Mass Transit Railways.

Although many taxi drivers can speak English, it is advisable to write your destination in Chinese for them.

Tip: Where possible, when using buses and minibuses, try to have the exact change to hand, and remember to let the bus driver know where you want to get off.
